Above you can see the setup for the power output. Notice that this is only one channel, there will be two of these units to provide stereo sound. There are two EL34s in push-pull configuration. In the front you can see a solder post, and behind it are fuses for each anode and the series resistors for the screen grids (1kΩ, 5W).

All the components that do not dissipate a significant amount of heat (power supply rectifier, caps, choke, phase splitter tube and accompanying components) will be mounted on a seperate PCB.

Bruikleen nat lab

These EL34 tubes have a story to tell. They are quite old, and were obtained in a time where these tubes were very expensive. However, they were not bought, but obtained from the Dutch Philips labs through some social engineering. The text "BRUIKLEEN NAT LAB" means "In loan, physics laboratory".
